Jay D’Souza

DIRECTOR
Jay D’Souza is an accomplished investment banking professional with nearly two decades of experience in the power and utilities industry in North America. He has provided strategic advice on a range of mandates, including M&A, capital markets, financing and other strategic initiatives to clients such as investor-owned utilities, independent power producers, pension and infrastructure funds, and government clients.
Notably, Jay has advised on Slate Asset Management’s capital raise mandate to fund construction of the 149 MW Mersey River Wind project in Nova Scotia, Pattern Energy’s 1.0 GW bid into the IESO’s LT2 procurement process, and the Chapter 11 sale of a 3.2 GW / 3.3 GWh operating and development-stage solar and BESS portfolio in the U.S.
Previously, Jay worked as a Director at NBF’s Power, Utilities & Infrastructure investment banking team and also served as an Associate Director on the Power & Utilities investment banking team at Scotiabank. He was a Managing Consultant at Navigant from 2005 to 2011.
Jay holds a Master of Business Administration degree from the Ivey Business School at Western University, where he graduated with Distinction, and a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Engineering from Queen’s University.
