Marcus Akhtar is a dynamic finance leader with experience in PPP asset management, project finance, M&A, FP&A, reporting, and financial transformation. He has 15+ years of experience across infrastructure asset management, project finance, and corporate finance in Canada and U.S.

Notably, Marcus has expanded the firm's PPP asset management platform to $2.2bn in AUM. He also manages a seven-project North American PPP portfolio and has led Mosaic’s M&A integrations and Oracle Fusion’s ERP implementation.

Prior to Agentis, Marcus served as Vice President of Asset Management and Operations at Vercity Canada. Prior to that, he worked for over a decade at John Laing Capital Management as Asset Director, North America.

Marcus holds dual accounting designations as a Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA Canada) and Certified Public Accountant (CPA USA). He also holds an MBA in Project Management from the University of Southampton and a BSc (Hons) in Quantity Surveying from the University of Portsmouth.
